Congratulations on your choice of Sotran wooden furniture. We take pride in providing high-quality, durable pieces designed to stand the test of time — and to demonstrate our commitment to your satisfaction, every wooden piece is backed by a comprehensive 3-year warranty.

Comprehensive coverage

All Sotran wooden furniture is covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for three full years from the date of purchase.

30km

Workshop radius

Within 30km of our Boksburg workshop, repairs and transport are handled at our cost. Beyond that radius, transport remains the customer's responsibility.

What's covered.

During the warranty period, Sotran warrants that our wooden furniture products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Coverage includes:

  • Materials — defects in the timber, joinery and hardware used in the original construction.
  • Workmanship — defects arising from the build process, including joint integrity and finish.
  • Structural integrity — issues affecting the structural soundness of the piece under normal use.

Repair, not replace.

In the unlikely event that your furniture requires attention due to a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, Sotran will, at its sole discretion, repair the defective part or product. Where repair isn't possible, we'll replace the piece or refund the original purchase value.

Logistics & transport.

For customers residing within a 30km radius of our Boksburg workshop, transport for warranty repairs is handled at our cost.

For customers outside the 30km radius, we are pleased to extend our warranty coverage — however, please note that transportation costs associated with collecting and re-delivering the repaired or replaced item shall be the customer's responsibility.

Fair use — what's not covered.

Like any warranty, this one has limits. The following are not covered:

  • Misuse or abuse of the furniture, including damage from rough handling or use outside the piece's intended purpose.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions — excessive moisture, heat, or prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, and stains acquired through everyday use.
  • Modifications or alterations made to the original product by anyone other than Sotran.

How to make a claim.

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact our customer service team with proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue. We'll come back to you with the next steps within 1–2 working days.

  • Include your original receipt or proof of purchase
  • Attach clear photos of the issue
  • Tell us when the piece was delivered and where it currently lives
