Every Sotran piece is built to last, and backed by over 30 years of craftsmanship. Here is exactly what is covered, for our wooden furniture and for our couches and occasional chairs.

Wooden furniture
Congratulations on your choice of Sotran wooden furniture. We take pride in providing high quality, durable pieces designed to stand the test of time. To show our commitment to your satisfaction, every wooden piece is backed by a comprehensive 3-year warranty from the date of purchase.
What is covered
Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, including:
- Materials: defects in the timber, joinery and hardware used in the original construction.
- Workmanship: defects arising from the build process, including joint integrity and finish.
- Structural integrity: issues affecting the structural soundness of the piece under normal use.
What is not covered
- Misuse or abuse, including damage from rough handling or use outside the piece’s intended purpose.
- Extreme conditions, such as excessive moisture, heat or prolonged direct sunlight.
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents and stains from everyday use.
- Modifications or alterations made by anyone other than Sotran.
Repair, not replace
If your furniture needs attention because of a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, Sotran will, at its sole discretion, repair the defective part or product. Where repair is not possible, we will replace the piece or refund the original purchase value.
Logistics and transport
Within a 30km radius of our Boksburg workshop, transport for warranty repairs is handled at our cost.
Outside the 30km radius the warranty still applies in full, but the cost of collecting and re-delivering the item is the customer’s responsibility.
Couches and occasional chairs
We have invested over 30 years of experience and expertise into the craftsmanship of our couches and chairs, so you should never need your warranty card. But just in case, here is exactly what is covered.
What is covered
- Frame: 15-year warranty against structural defects in the frame.
- Foam fill: 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
- Stitching workmanship: 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
- Sofa feet: 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
What is not covered
- Normal wear and tear from everyday use.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect or accidents.
- Fading or fabric damage from prolonged direct sunlight.
- Modifications, repairs or alterations made by anyone other than Sotran.
Proof of purchase
Please keep your warranty card and original receipt as proof of purchase. Both are required for any warranty claim to be processed.
