Can I use this table indoors as well as outdoors?
Yes. The acacia construction works equally well indoors. Some buyers use it as a primary indoor dining table, particularly in larger kitchens or industrial-leaning dining spaces where the slatted top and grey-wash finish suit the material palette.

Is FSC certification verified or just claimed?
FSC certification is independently audited under chain-of-custody standards. Sotran's FSC-certified pieces carry verifiable certification through the supplier chain.

How many people does it actually seat?
Eight comfortably, with around 27cm per place setting, which gives generous elbow room. Ten at full capacity, with around 22cm per place setting, which still allows proper seating without crowding. Configuration is typically four chairs per long side plus a carver at each end.

Will the slatted top let drinks fall through?
The slats are spaced for water drainage during rainfall, not for fluid passage. Glasses, plates, and standard tableware sit stably on the slats. Very small items (single grains of rice, salt) may drop through, so handle with awareness during food preparation directly on the table.

Will the grey-wash weather further over time?
Yes, this is normal acacia behaviour. With twice-yearly oiling, the grey-wash holds its current character. If left unoiled and exposed to direct sun and rain, the surface will settle further into a deeper silver-grey patina, which many buyers actively prefer for the weathered lived-in look. Either approach is valid and does not affect structural integrity.

Does Sotran deliver nationwide?
Yes, with nationwide South African delivery in 4 to 10 business days. A 220cm solid acacia table requires freight delivery, and access (driveway width, doorway clearance) should be confirmed before ordering. Collection from Boksburg, Fourways, or Somerset West can also be arranged.

What's the warranty?
Covered by Sotran's 3-year warranty on solid wood furniture. Natural weathering, grain variation, and grey-wash settling over time are not warranty defects, since they are part of how solid acacia outdoor furniture presents.
