What height bed does the pedestal suit?
At 70cm tall, the pedestal sits well alongside standard divan-base beds and most mid-height frames where the top of the mattress (with bedding) sits around 55–65cm from the floor. For low-profile platform or sleigh beds, a shorter pedestal is a better fit.

Can I order a matched left/right pair?
Yes — that's the design intent. Order one Left-hinge unit and one Right-hinge unit and the pair will mirror correctly across a king or queen bed, with both doors opening outward from the bed.

Is the geometric carving identical on every pedestal?
The carved pattern is consistent across pieces, but small variations in depth and finish appear between hand-carved units. The base pattern stays consistent; the individual character does not.

What's behind the door — a single open compartment or shelves?
The single front door opens onto an interior shelf, giving two separate storage levels. Useful for separating daily essentials (top level) from seasonal or occasional items (bottom level).

Is the teak the same colour as the photos show?
The warm natural brown shown in product images is consistent with what arrives, but solid teak naturally varies slightly in grain pattern and tone between pieces. The colour described in the product details is accurate; minor grain variation is part of the material.

Does it come pre-assembled?
Yes — the pedestal arrives fully assembled. No tools or assembly required, just position beside the bed.

Can I put a heavy lamp or jug on top?

Is it suitable for outdoor or covered patio use?
