Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where does the Telephone Display Booth work best in a home?
A: At 75 x 44cm footprint and a substantial 200cm tall, the Telephone Display Booth is a vertical statement piece designed to command attention as a focal moment. It works exceptionally well as the anchor of a home bar setup in a lounge, games room or entertainment area, where the concealed bar storage combines genuine functionality with iconic conversation-starter character. In an entryway with sufficient ceiling clearance, it makes an immediate welcoming statement. In boutique commercial hospitality spaces such as guesthouses, restaurants, gastropubs and event venues, the British telephone booth iconography suits eclectic, vintage-themed and character-rich commercial interiors. It fits vintage-retro, rustic, modern boho, British heritage and eclectic maximalist interior styles particularly well.

Q: How is the Telephone Display Booth used as a bar?
A: The piece functions as an iconic British telephone booth exterior that opens to reveal a fully appointed home bar setup inside. Behind the glass-panelled front, you'll find integrated wine glass racks (for stemware storage) and multiple shelving tiers that comfortably hold bottles of spirits, wine, glassware, cocktail accessories and bar tools. This makes the Telephone Booth exceptionally practical as well as decorative, transforming a decorative statement piece into a functional entertaining hub for hosting.

Q: What makes each Telephone Display Booth unique?
A: The signature red patina finish is hand-applied by artisans, meaning natural variations in the patina layering, colour intensity and unique aged character mean every unit carries its own distinct personality. The solid wood construction ensures durability while the hand-applied finish gives the piece the authentic vintage-inspired character rather than a uniform mass-produced appearance. The interior bar fittings and shelving arrangement are hand-crafted to fit the piece.

Q: What warranty and delivery does the Telephone Display Booth come with?
A: The piece carries the standard 3-year warranty applicable to all Sotran Dekorativ solid wooden furniture. Delivery is nationwide across South Africa with an estimated window of 4 to 10 business days. The piece arrives fully assembled with no assembly required. Given the substantial 200cm height, please carefully check access considerations before ordering, especially ceiling height for stairwells, doorway clearance, and long carry distances. Our team will contact you to arrange delivery for a piece of this scale. Collection is also available from our Boksburg HQ, Fourways (Design Quarter) and Somerset West stores.
