Will this hold a patio umbrella in wind?
Not as a sole anchor for fully exposed positions. The Cement Umbrella Stand is a decorative GRC piece — it works best where the umbrella's primary anchor is provided elsewhere (a table mount, a sheltered position, or paired with a separate weight base). For fully exposed gardens with regular wind, use a proper structural base.
Can I leave it outdoors all year?
Yes. GRC is built for outdoor use and weathers like stone — the surface character may shift gradually over years of UV exposure, but the structural integrity holds.
What umbrella pole sizes does it accommodate?
Standard SA patio umbrella pole diameters (38mm and 48mm) sit comfortably in the central opening.
Is each piece identical?
GRC pieces are individually cast, so small variations in the patina depth and surface texture are natural between units. The form is consistent; the surface character carries individual variation.
Will the charcoal colour fade?
The patina is integral to the GRC mix, not applied as paint, so there is no surface coating to chip or wear through. The colour may lighten slightly over years of consistent UV exposure but does not flake or fail in the way painted finishes do.

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and delivery location of your order. Larger furniture items may require freight delivery and will be quoted accordingly.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a notification with delivery details. Our team may also contact you to confirm delivery arrangements for larger furniture items.
Please inspect your items upon delivery. If any item arrives damaged, notify us within 24 hours of delivery by contacting our customer service team with photos of the damage. We will assess the issue and arrange a repair, replacement, or solution where applicable.
Most furniture items are delivered fully assembled, unless otherwise stated on the product page. If assembly is required, this will be clearly indicated in the product description.
For larger furniture deliveries, our team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery time. If delivery cannot be completed due to absence, additional delivery fees may apply.
Standard delivery is to the entrance of the premises. If access is difficult (stairs, narrow doorways, long distances, etc.), please notify us beforehand so we can advise accordingly.

Orders are dispatched within 3 business days. Delivery for small items (under 15kg/vol) takes 1–5 business days, depending on your location.

Larger furniture items delivered via freight may take up to an additional 9 business days.
You may also collect your order from Sotran Boksburg, Design Quarter (Fourways), or Sotran Somerset West (Cape Town) once availability at the branch has been confirmed.
